CARE TIPS

How to Adopt a Stray Cat?

1. Identify the cat either a stray or a feral cat.
✎๐Ÿ—’

There are many different things between stray cat and Feral cat.

It was important to identify the cat that you has found and want to adopt it because if it was a feral cat it would be more difficult to handle that cat than a Stray cat that more easier to handle.

Because Stray cat is a cat who lived indoors and was socialized to people at some point in their life.
Meanwhile, a Feral cat is an unsocialized outdoor cat who has either never had any physical contact with humans.

2. Bring it to the Vet  (╯▽╰ )❀

Most of stray cat even an adult cat that you adopt, it may not have been vaccinated.

 - Cat that you want to adopt need to get vaccinated because vaccination is  important to prevent your cat for being infected  with preventable disease.

- Bring your cat to the veterinarians to check if there seem to be any other medical issues with the cat that you should be aware of.

3. Take it slowly to make the cat feel comfortable.

You can't know what kind of experiences that the cat may have had before it entered your home,  so you need to keep your distance as you learn how the cat adapt to its new surrounding.

In that case, you need to let the cat retreat to a safe place when it want to, otherwise its may feel threatened by you.

Also, it is important to introduce the cat to humans or family members in your home slowly and in a controlled manner.

·˚✎ Cat Nutrition

Mimi usually eat dry cat food than wet cat food. There are some brands of cat food that I give to Mimi.

Which is Cuties Catz, seafood flavored and Whiskas Junior Ocean Fish flavored. Between those two brands, Mimi's favorite brand is Cuties Catz because i usually buy this brand.

It's more affordable and have low price than Whiskas brand.

I always give 1/2 cup of cat food 2 times for each day,  about 12 hours apart. It is good for her diet and to balanced her diet.

At Mimi's age, she still a junior cat which means that she still need more her mother's milk. But in her case, when her mother disappear I have no choice than to give her goat milk instead.

Mimi does not eat wet food regularly. Because she more likely the plain food or dry cat food. I just give her wet cat food 2 times per week.

But if your cat loves wet cat food, you can give one pack or one can of a day for your cat.
